Hi ,
This morning I had a package to pick up at Purolator. The person behind the desk asked how I was doing today and I replied that I was good. When I asked her the same she replied that it was Monday, but despite that things were OK, and then commented to the effect that it would have to do until winning the lottery. The conversation struck me because I know I have felt the same way many many times. Feeling unsatisfied with our position, feeling dread at the thought of repeating the same, seemingly futile, tasks over and over. Waiting for something better to happen in life. Most of us feel this at least some of the time - some feel it most of the time.
Today's session felt like it was a response to that feeling. A reminder that each day is a gift. That regardless of what we are doing, the way that we feel about it is a function of what we believe about it. And our tendency is to believe that other people have things better than we do ourselves. If I only had X or more Y in my life then things would be better. Really things are already the way they need to be in order to be complete. In fact they are complete in every moment. Today's work was a reminder if this, and an effort to make it just a bit easier to believe.
With gratitude, Andrew
