Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water; after enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. — Zen proverb.
I took a course in university many years ago, that had a book that was used as the textbook called "Chop Wood, Carry Water" and it was one of the most memorable courses I took. It was on my mind throughout our time together today.
